By using SocialHuman, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
SocialHuman is a social media platform where all content must be captured live with a device camera. We verify posts for authenticity using forensic analysis. The goal is a platform where every post is made by a real human being.
Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how to exercise your GDPR rights.
You need an account to use SocialHuman. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 18 years old. The 18+ requirement is enforced at account creation via a birth-year check in the signup flow.
You own the content you create. By posting on SocialHuman, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and store your content for the limited purpose of operating the SocialHuman service to you and to the people you share with. This licence is strictly limited to operating the service. It terminates automatically when you delete a piece of content or your account, and at that point the content is removed from the database and from our object storage (subject to the 14-day account-deletion grace period described in the Privacy Policy). Nothing in this section limits your statutory right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR.
Every post goes through our verification system. We analyze EXIF data, sensor readings, keystroke patterns, and other signals to determine if content is genuine. Your Trust Score reflects your history of posting verified content. We reserve the right to flag, deprioritize, or remove content that fails verification.
Every user receives a permanent sequential number (e.g. "No. 42") on signup, reflecting their join order on SocialHuman. The number is immutable, non-transferable, and displayed on the user's profile.
SocialHuman offers an optional paid subscription ("Founding Member") with additional features. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewals, and cancellations follow the respective platform's policies. We do not process payments directly.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if your content consistently fails verification, or if we have reason to believe your account is not operated by a real human. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
SocialHuman is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or that verification will catch every piece of synthetic content. We're a small team building something new.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SocialHuman is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
Nothing in these Terms limits, waives, or conditions your statutory rights as a data subject under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, including the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). You can exercise these rights from Settings > Data & Account in the SocialHuman app, or by emailing olli@socialhuman.dev. See the Privacy Policy Section 10 for the full enumeration.
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
